If you could have one super power, what would it be?

As kids we might want to fly or be able to pick up a car but as adults, I think most of us would like to be able to predict the future. We’d like to know when something bad will happen so we can somehow change the outcome so we won’t have to suffer or so the people we love won’t feel pain.

However, this isn’t the way the world works or how we were created. We don’t get to know the future but we do have another super power! It’s the Holy Spirit, dwelling inside of us to fill us with the gifts (power) to persevere.

We are guaranteed in life to have to face loss and struggle through seasons of waiting. It is all a part of how we grow in our faith. The best advice I can think of is to be like this little guy in the scripture image and equip yourself with what you need in order to tackle the obstacles ahead!
