A lighthouse shines light to be a beacon of safety for those out on the sea. It’s a refuge for those who have been in distress and a point of reference for others who wish to keep on course.

This is the kind of light God is for you. God will shine without fail. If you are ever lost or doubt, God doesn’t waiver. He is there, ready to provide you a safe place and light your way home.

When I heard some of the old lighthouses are now converted into apartments for rent, like AirBNB or VRBO, I wanted to do it. I immediately added the experience onto my bucket list! It would be amazing to be in a place that brought so much hope and provided a safe passage to travelers. I’d love to be a part of that history!

An experience like that would allow me to be a part of someone else’s story. I’d feel connected to my ancestors by sharing a day in their shoes…in a way. This to me is what Jesus’ purpose while on earth was and the reason he died; so he could connect to each of us, no matter when or where we lived. He came to save us all! Jesus, the light of the world who shines light on the path which we are to follow so we can connect with our brothers and sisters, past and present.
