2011 - Adoration Time Ramblings

It’s days before another year begins. I’m grateful for this quiet time to think about some New Year’s Resolutions.

  • I’d like to send Birthday cards to everyone I think of on their birthday. I can take time on Sunday mornings to write them out for the week. If there are no birthdays, then write a note to someone who is on my mind to let them know I am thinking of them.

  • Make my adoration time commitment for 9:00 on Thursdays. There is nothing in my way at that time except my own busy-ness.

  • Find a place to go volunteer for a few hours a month

  • Plan for an hour to go sit in a coffee shop to read or journal or dream. I could write in the girls’ journals too.

I could take one vacation day per month and volunteer, take my hour to dream, see my Spiritual Advisor and meet up with a friend - like a day retreat.

  • Keep my weekly date with my mom

  • Make a date with a different friend once a month. I need to schedule the time and make the effort to invest in my friendships

Lord,

I love you with all my heart, my soul and my mind. You know me and you still love me. You see all of me and you know my heart is open and full of you!

I am full of anxiety to see you face to face but I know there is work for me to do here on earth. I pray you continue to show me the way I am to go with every step I take. I am following you where ever I must go. I know I can do anything as long as I walk alongside of you and never stray.

Lord, I am filled with not only love for you but love for the many blessings you have given to me. Thank you for all of the blessings I receive everyday! I pray I never lose sight of the blessings, I never go a day without feeling your love and wrapping myself up in that love.

AMEN, so be it!
