Conquer

I recently completed the El Camino, Santiago Trail. Virtually.

It was an app where I would walk or ride my bike and then log my miles. Along the way I’d get postcards and descriptions of the trail. I had 56 days to complete 480.9 miles.

It was a challenge and I had to schedule days when I’d walk or ride for longer periods of time. I made sacrifices so I could reach the desired result. And I reached my goal.

The app is called conquer. So when I saw the word in scripture, it stood out to me. Jesus conquered death. He had a goal, he made sacrifices and he reached the desired result.

And even though I felt accomplished when I reached my goal and was excited to receive my medal of completion in the mail, I’ll bet the euphoria Jesus felt, and still feels is so much greater and will last FOREVER!
