You Broke Through

Jesus, YOU BROKE THOUGH your entire life. People questioned your methods, your teachings and didn’t give you credit. This prayer I wrote to remind myself and others about all of the times people said Jesus couldn’t and he did it anyways.

When you read the prayer, it might seem confusing at first because it starts from the last time in scripture that we see Jesus and goes back to the first time we meet Jesus. I feel when it’s prayed during the Easter Season, it is most relevant to pray it in the way it was written. However, I believe during other times during the year or especially when you might be suffering a bit, you might find comfort and strength in reading it from the end to the beginning. No matter how you pray the words, I hope you find them an inspiration…

Jesus, the doors were locked…but you broke through!

Jesus, you died and were buried…but you broke through!

Jesus, you were nailed to a cross…but you broke through!

Jesus, you were beaten and bleeding…but you broke through!

Jesus, you were a carpenter’s son…but you broke through!

Jesus, you were born in a manger…but you broke through!
