Draw closer to God
Too often I wake up focused on completing the tasks of my day. I can get wrapped up in my to do list and find “time with God” isn’t on it.⠀
⠀
Time with God is defined differently for people. Some require that time to be in silence, in a sacred place or out in nature. Others turn up the worship music and jam out in their car. ⠀
⠀
I heard a keynote talk one time where the presenter said that “God is in all things”. She asked the audience to shout out things and she would explain the God connection. The one I remember most is PEANUT BUTTER. She said like peanut butter, God sticks with you and can fill you up. ⠀
⠀
It’s been several years ago when I heard this but it’s a practice I adopted. Throughout my day, I draw closer to God through everyday things, reflecting on how God is like a spiderweb or my morning coffee. ⠀
⠀
It’s been a game changer!⠀
