Good Fruit

John the Baptist produced good fruit. He is often considered the “warm up” act to prepare the crowd for the “main event”, JESUS!

John was Jesus’ cousin, I LOVE my cousins! Even though I don’t get to spend much time with them, when we do get together it’s the BEST! We have a bond you can’t explain but you know you’d do anything for them. This is the relationship between John and Jesus.

John was out there baptizing people with water, preaching and attracting followers. He was filled with the Holy Spirit. He was producing good fruit. John prepared people to get ready for Jesus so that when Jesus came, he could get right to work. John is the trailblazer. He created the path and did all the recon work so Jesus could have the biggest impact.

This is what family does right? It sets you up to succeed because they love you and want the best for you. The secret we forget is that Jesus is our brother and Mary is our mother. We already have what it takes to produce good fruit…it runs in the family!!!
